The Tailgaters
A LOVE OF TENNIS AND FOOTBALL

There are many things that bring the Senior Women’s 4.5
team from South Carolina together. While tennis is the
sport they all compete in, each of the team members
enjoy watching football. They never miss the opportunity
to tailgate and support their favorite teams.
With the majority of the players from Columbia and a few
from Myrtle Beach, there are both Clemson and South
Carolina fans on the court. You would never be able to
guess that their was such a rivalry on the team, as they
seem very unified on the court. Being such good friends,
they are able to look past their differences and play as
a team.
The ladies get together for major football games and
like to have a good time. They tailgate and socialize,
as any big time football fans will do. They are looking
forward to the beginning of college football season in a
few weeks.
The team loves to joke around and have fun. After a
match they will sit back and let loose, relaxing after a
hard fought day on the courts. While taking Sectionals
serious, they bring a lighthearted attitude into Mobile.
As the team looks to enjoy their time in Mobile, Captain
Suzanne Gray said, “We are just happy to be here.”
