Team That Sings Together Wins Together
TRADITIONS OF A WOMEN’S 3.0 SENIOR TEAM

This Senior Women’s 3.0 team does not let questionable calls affect their play. They share the philosophy that one should not create enemies. They are a group of nine women who play out of Cypress Lakes Golf & Country Club in Muscle Shoals, AL, and strive to be “Southern ladies” on and off the court.
Tennis is not the only thing that this team has in common. The majority have worked in the education field at one point in their careers. While some are fortunate enough to be retired, there are still team members who must split their time between the classroom and the tennis court. Even though this team has not played together for very long, they have forged a strong bond that has enabled them to become a close-knit group.
One of the team’s traditions is to go to a Mexican restaurant the night before each match to eat dinner and share margaritas. These fun-loving women also enjoy belting out a tune from time to time. If there is karaoke involved at the player party expect to see these women on stage singing their favorite song, “I Will Survive.”
While this team might have a lot in common, one thing that varies is their height. Some women are as short as 5’ and as tall as 6’2” inches. This is just one difference that makes the team unique.
